Talking about his siblings, he has a sister named Marsha Jones Dalton whom his parents adopted at the age of seven. After the adoption, their family extended from three to four.

Growing up, Johnny was very close to his family and took out time to help his dad in his business. He was a passionate child and participated in different sports like baseball and football from a very young age.

As for his education, he graduated from Southeast Whitfield Highschool. He started college at Dalton State College where he studied on and off for a few semesters before joining the military.

Career 

After completing military training, he worked as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician in the United States Marine Corps. He worked there for 8 years and was excellent in his work and disposed of more than 80 IEDs

But unfortunately, during one of his disposals, he stepped into one of the IEDs and suffered from serious injuries.

It was an end to his military career as he lost both of his legs and had severe injuries in his hands. He joined Georgetown University to pursue Bachelor's degree in Arts after recovering from the accident.

He also worked in a Boot Campaign, a non-profit organization that raises awareness of veteran affairs. 

In the year 2019, after doing several social works he joined Fox News Media in the role of a contributor where he appears as a guest host and provides military analysis.

Joey is also the owner of JJJ Consulting LLC since January 2012 through which he works with multiple bureaus booking opportunities to address groups, conventions, and industries on various topics.
