Who would not love to have a successful career and a blessed married life? The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback player Derek Carr is someone to envy when it comes to such bliss.
Alongside building a strong reputation in the NFL world, Derek has been happily married to his girlfriend-turned-wife. Married for more than a decade, Derek and his wife are parents to 4 children in total; 3 sons and a daughter.
Who Is Derek Married To?
Derek Is married to his high school sweetheart Heather Neel. The duo first met at a restaurant while they were both in college and when Derek was studying at Fresno State University. Derek was a customer at a local restaurant where Heather worked as a waitress.
Heather just happened to walk by when Derek approached with a silly pickup line,
“I had like diamond earrings in my ear and I had them both, I knew I did. And he said, “Why are you only wearing one earring?” And it made me check my ears. And I was like, “that’s your pick up line?” (It worked) it did work. I talked to him.”
But when she knew that Derek was the up-and-coming Freno State Quarterback, Heather initially hesitated and did not want anything to do with typical football and a football player. Because of this, Heather gave Derek the incorrect number when he asked for it.

The following day, he returned to her and said he tried calling but realized the number was wrong. Derek then insisted on giving his own number and even asked her to call when she was ready. 2-3 weeks later, Heather did call, and the pair eventually started dating.
The turning point in their relationship, however, occurred during Derek’s early college days when he admittedly departed from what the bible had taught him.
Heather even wrote him a letter stating that he wasn’t the one who she thought he was. That’s what changed Derek, and their relationship continued. They soon decided to tie the wedding knot and got married in June of 2012.
Derek Carr Is Parents Of 4 Kids
Derek Carr and his beloved wife are parents to 4 children in total, 3 sons and a daughter. The duo was first blessed with a baby boy in August of 2013 and named him Dallas Carr.

But their firstborn was rushed into surgery at Valley Children’s hospital just a few hours after his birth due to tangled intestines. It was potentially a life-threatening abnormality. Their son Dallas underwent 3 surgeries and made a full recovery after his final surgery.
Derek and Heather began expanding their family after relocating in, and in March 2016 they had their second child, a son named Deker. Likewise, they welcomed their 3rd baby boy Deakon in 2019. Then, they were blessed with a surprise during the Covid pandemic in the form of a baby girl. The duo welcomed their daughter Brooklyn Mae in November of 2020.
