Evan doesn’t have any kids with his long-term partner and also has revealed that he has left it too late to become a father.
During a 2015 surge regarding same-sex parenting, Evan stated that he will never have children with his long-term partner.
Evan, who was 53 years old at that time, said,
“We’re probably too old to think about children — maybe 20 years ago, if we were younger, it would be different. There’s much more around in terms of gay parenting now than there was when I was about 35, but what can we do now?”
The couple has a dog named Mr. Whippy in their family but they do not consider it their child. Evan explained,
“I don’t tend to think of him as a child substitute, but we always say to each other, “Is he a child substitute?” and people joke about it. I love my dog like I’m sure parents love kids, but it feels like a slightly different field. We’re very aware he’s not a child. We do refer to ourselves as daddy but that’s about it. He’s never going to talk; he’s always going to stay at the mental age of two. But he’s so lovely.”

Moving into Evan Davis’ family, he was born to South African parents in Malvern. His father’s name is Quintin Visser Davis and his mother’s name is Hazel Davis.
Evan was born in Malvern. He was raised with his siblings in Ashtead, Surrey.
As for his siblings, he has two brothers named Roland Davis and Beric Davis.
His father Quintin was diagnosed with bowel cancer and had a failing heart before he took his own life at the age of 92.
Evan’s dad passed away on the day of his wedding. Recently, Evan opened up about his wedding and his father’s death recalling it as a “reflective occasion.”
During an interview with The Sunday Times, Even said that he received a text “Call ASAP” from his brother on the day of his marriage.
When he learned that his father died, he told his husband and eventually the guests asking them not to be alarmed as his father was very elderly and it was definitely time.
Quintin had taken his own life by writing a note saying that his system is closing down and he is on the verge of a mental breakdown.
Evan’s mother had dementia and was admitted to a care home during the COVID pandemic so Quintin had “felt guilt” over not being able to care for his wife Hazel.
However, he left a bag of fresh clothes for Hazel along with the note.
Quintin and his wife Hazel were married for 65 years.
