Many of us enjoyed James and Sonia’s date on Love on the Spectrum.
We also loved the chemistry that they shared, but since James did not feel the spark, he did not want to go on another date.
It was a little disappointing to see the couple that you are rooting for not making it to another date, but what truly broke hearts was seeing Sonia tear up after James’ rejection.
James has now found love and is open about his dating life with his girlfriend, Shelley. He has also revealed that they have been together for a year.
While James has found love, Sonia seems to be still single. Unlike James, she hasn’t shared the news of her new relationship, but she seems to be pretty active in her professional career.
She is also active on her Instagram account, where she has been sharing glimpses of her day-to-day life and some memories from the sets of Love on the Spectrum.
She even congratulated James for finding true love by sharing a picture of James and Shelley on her Instagram.
Sonia wrote in the caption that she thinks they make a great couple and also wished them all the best.
While we’re happy for James, fans can’t help but wonder what’s next for Sonia? Will she return in a new season? Will she find her person?
It is for sure that Sonia is not dating now, but she does appreciate the time she got to spend on Love on the Spectrum.
She shared some pictures with James and other crew members on her Instagram in April 2025, saying that they were filming on Mother’s Day in 2024 while her mom was keeping her cancer diagnosis private from her father.
She opened up about how it has been a life-changing experience and added that it was a pleasure meeting James.
Sonia further thanked the director Cian, the entire team, behind-the-scenes members, and Netflix for the kindness, compassion, and support that she received from everyone.

Where Is Sonia From Love on the Spectrum Now?
Sonia is now with her family and back at her job. She has done some interviews after the show and also appeared on the podcast Bunny Hugs and Mental Health, where she talked about her journey as a writer and actress.
Sonia is currently working on her upcoming memoir, “Red and Black,” about which she also discussed on the podcast.
Sonia further talked about her life as a Chilean Jew and her experiences with autism and mental health.
She also talked about her past sexual assault in the podcast and the challenges of navigating personal safety.
Sonia’s LinkedIn profile shows that she has been working as a Sales Specialist at Ulta Beauty since March 2025.
She has also been working as a salesperson at SEPHORA since November 2021. Sonia has also been working as a Sales Associate at Bluemercury since March 2017.
Sonia worked as an Assistant Manager at Claire’s for more than three years. She joined the company in December 2021 and then left in April 2025.
As for Sonia’s education, she attended Mount Ida College and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising.

Sonia from Love on the Spectrum is autistic, that's why she was featured in the show, but unfortunately, she did not find her match.
When Sonia was filming for Love on the Spectrum, her mother was already diagnosed with cancer.
Sonia has now lost her mom and is often seen remembering her and sharing posts about her on social media. Sonia’s mom passed away in March, and a month later, Love on the Spectrum aired.
Sonia faced bullying and cruelty after the show aired, but her mom’s words gave her strength. She shared some videos of her mom on her Instagram in July 2025, writing,
“Be kind to your mom, please. Tell her you love her. My mom's last words to me in the ICU still linger - she said she didn't love me, but I know she did. I also lost my grandma the same year. There's more to my story in my upcoming memoir. To all the bullies, I'm not going anywhere.”
Sonia’s mom discussed diversity in young children and advocated for human rights. According to one of her Instagram posts, her mom was a prominent feminist and was acquainted with Pedro Pascal.
Sonia has now followed her mother’s legacy, advocating human rights and discussing kids and their nurturing.
Sonia is on Cameo where she provides cameo videos for various occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, or a long-awaited reunion.
