Tracy stated on October 5, 2020, via his Twitter account, that he felt safer reporting from North Korea than he did from the White House.
Tracy condemned the Trump White House's failure to implement public health advice to control the COVID-19 pandemic.
"When I was reporting on the news in North Korea, I felt safer than I feel right now at the White House."
This is a reference to the COVID-19 epidemic in The White House for those who may not be aware.
Due to the COVID cases that were recorded at the White House and the absence of mask wearers there, the remark was made.
