You might have seen Veronica Miracle covering breaking news for CNN, but behind the television screen, she is a loving sister and a cool dog mom.

Veronica’s personal life is deeply rooted in family and culture, which is often evident in her social media posts.

Did you know that Veronica pursued a career as a journalist because of one incident that she and the Miracle family faced in the past?

If not, let us present you with some information about Veronica Miracle’s parents and her relationship status.

Who Are Veronica Miracle’s Parents?

Veronica has Asian roots as she was born to a Japanese mother in Osaka, Japan, where much of her mother's side of the family still resides.

Her mom, Roberta Huang, gave birth to her in Japan so that she could have dual citizenship and could fly back and forth during the summer holidays.

Another reason why Roberta gave birth to her daughter in Japan is that she could learn the language.

But since Veronica has now turned older, she had to give up her citizenship when she was 22.

Veronica grew up in Issaquah, Washington, where she received her early education. Later, the Miracle family moved to Seattle.

Her mother Roberta is a certified Aesthetician currently working at Lumera.

Veronica’s father is Robert Miracle, who was sentenced to 13 years in prison for a $65 million Ponzi scheme.

Veronica’s dad, Mr. Robert, along with two Malaysian nationals named Mukhtar Kechik and Fahimi Fisal, were charged with conspiracy, wire fraud, mail fraud, money laundering, and tax evasion.

Her father reportedly collected money from the investors, saying that his companies involved in oil development in Malaysia and Indonesia were making money.

But he used the money collected to pay off initial investors. Robert did pay about $37 million to some lenders and investors and the remaining amount was used to develop oil and gas fields in Indonesia, and also for his lavish lifestyle.

No one knew about Veronica’s dad until she tweeted that her father was being released from federal prison after 13 years.

In a tweet shared in February 2019, Veronica said that her dad would get to see her report on TV for the first time ever. She said that she graduated from her college, completed master's, started her own business, and became a reporter when her dad was inside.

She also revealed more about her dad with Natalie Brunett in The Career Stories Podcast. Veronica also revealed that she wanted to become a journalist after her family became the subject of news in her hometown when her dad was arrested.
