Alexandra Shipp began her acting career in 2009 with a minor role in the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. She later gained recognition for her portrayal of KT Rush in the third season of Nickelodeon's mystery teen drama series House of Anubis.
In 2014, Shipp's career took off with her performance as Dani Raymond in the VH1 television film sequel Drumline: A New Beat.
In 2016, Shipp co-starred in Bryan Singer's superhero film X-Men: Apocalypse as Ororo Munroe/Storm.
