Bob Lee was a high-profile Bay Area tech executive who was the founder of the Cash App (previously called Square Cash). He was stabbed to death on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in San Francisco, California.
The attack was informed to police at 2.35 am and after the arrival of the cops, he was transported to the local hospital.
The people in the tech industry and beyond mourned the loss of the brilliant mind who was also the co-founder of MobileCoin. SpaceX's Elon Musk even posted on social media addressing the out-of-control violent crime in San Francisco and questioned the district attorney about it.
But not long after, it came to light that Lee was killed for a personal reason by an IT consultant Nima Momeni.

An IT consultant named Nima Momeni was convicted of murdering Bob Lee in 2023. He initially claimed that Lee initiated the attack and ended up dead as he tried to defend himself.
However, during Momeni’s trial for Lee’s murder in October 2024, prosecutors argued that he killed Lee in a premeditated attack.
Momeni was fueled with anger and targeted Lee after his sister Khazar Momeni told him that she had been sexually assaulted by a man introduced by Lee.
The man in the picture is a drug dealer named Jeremy Boivin who apparently drugged Khazar with GHB and sexually assaulted her.
