Jennifer often mentioned that her husband Zac is related to Ben Affleck in the past season. She said that her father-in-law is the cousin of Ben, which would make Zac a second cousin.
Jen talked about their relationship with Ben several times in the show. She even said that her father-in-law had met Ben when he was very little.
She also spoke about the connection with Jennifer Lopez, saying that her name happens to be exactly the same as JLo as she went from Jennifer Lynn Lopez to Jennifer Lynn Affleck.
But as the show unfolded, it came to light that Zac Affleck is not related to Ben Affleck. It was just a running joke in Zac’s family.
In a season two episode, Jennifer and her husband Zac had a conversation about his relationship with Ben. Zac confirmed that he has no relationship with Ben when Jen said that Ben is his second cousin.
However, Jen argued that his family told her about the connection with Ben.
Well, it has now been confirmed that Zac is not related to Ben. A source familiar with Zac’s family told PEOPLE that there is no relationship between Zac Affleck and Ben Affleck.
Zac is the son of David Affleck, while Ben’s father is Tim Affleck. Zac’s grandfather is Gordon Affleck, while Ben’s grandfather is Myron Junior.
Similarly, Zac’s family is from England while Ben’s family is from Scotland, so there is no connection between them from anywhere. This also means that Jennifer Affleck is not related to Ben Affleck.
What Is Zac Affleck’s Job?
Zac is a reality star for now, like his wife, Jennifer. He has been in the limelight ever since Jen appeared in the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
But back in July 2024, Jen revealed that Zac is accepted into a medical school. Zac wanted to attend a medical school in New York, but since he was accepted into a school in Arizona, he went there.
However, he took a break from his medical school to work on their relationship. Zac apparently has five months to decide whether he will continue that path or not.
But for now, he is supporting Jen and her MomTok. Zac said in a recent interview,
“I reached out to my dean and put in my application to leave medical school. My feelings toward MomTok haven’t completely changed but I feel like a lot of our marriage I made about me and what I want to do. I don’t know what I am going to do with my life, to be honest. I am here to support you and support your career.”
He previously attended Brigham Young University and graduated in July 2024.

Are Jennifer Affleck and Zac Affleck Together?
Jennifer and Zac have been very open about their relationship through the show. The couple had their highs and lows throughout season 1, but in season 2, Jen revealed that their marriage was about to end.
The couple took some time apart after their reality TV debut, where their marital dynamics were on full display to public.
Jen opened up that they had to go through so much therapy to make their relationship work. But as the couple was navigating their relationship, they came to know that Jen was pregnant with their third baby.
Jen was stressed out when she found out about her pregnancy, as she wasn’t on the best of terms with her husband. However, her pregnancy has become a blessing in disguise for both of them as they feel seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Jennifer and Zac will now have three children. They became parents to their first child, their daughter Nora Affleck, on November 4, 2021.
Their family turned from three to four with the arrival of their second baby, their son Lucas “Luca” Lowell Affleck, on July 27, 2023.
Jen’s daughter Nora is very excited to welcome a new sibling, but she is hoping to have a younger singer, according to Jen.
Jen and her husband Zac have been married since June 28, 2019. They tied the wedding knot a year after they met on a dating app, Mutual.
