Early Life- Parents And Education

On February 13, 1974, in Stoke-on-Trent, England, Robbie Williams was born to Janet and Peter Williams. His parents were owners of a bar and the Port Vale FC Social Club. His Irish grandmother was from Kilkenny.

He participated in school plays while attending St Margaret Ward Catholic School in Tunstall, playing the Artful Dodger in a production of Oliver. During his childhood, he loved listening to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. and at the age of ten he was influenced by Hip Hop as well.

He also includes Freddie Mercury, Elvis Presley, Bono, etc, as his influences. Safe to say classical superstars were his role models.

Blissful Married Life With Wife

The British rockstar is married to Ayda Field, an American actress since 2010. After dating for more than four years the couple decided to tie the wedding knot. 

Robbie and Ayda met in May 2006, in a UFO documentary (UFO and paranormal activities are his interests) that Robbie produced for BBC Radio 4 Ayda was the star of it, and from then the couple began to share romantic vibes.

According to Wiki sources, Ayda feels lucky to have found Robbie and also claims that if she had met him earlier she would not have had to date other guys. However, she even said that they would have messed up their relationship if they had met earlier. According to her, they met when they were meant to be.

In a show, Robbie revealed that he knew Ayda was his ideal partner after he felt like he had known her for a long time. The 20-minute interaction on the set of the UFO documentary sparked romance in both of them.

Ayda said Robbie, his first wife is special to him. Robbie and Ayda's happy family has four children, Theodora, Charlton, Colette, and Beau.

Dating Life Before Ayda

Robbie dated numerous women in his lifetime and getting famous helped him pull this off too. Reports claim he has been with more than 20 women. He was engaged to Nicole Appleton in 1998.

He also had relationships with Nicole Kidman, Lisa D’Amato, Valerie Cruz, Andrea Corr, and many other women. A talented Casanova? Cannot say. But, he claims that his dating life in his 20s was disappointing.

The Interesting Career

When Robbie’s mother saw advertising in the year 1990 that a boy band was looking for a member, she made Robbie take that chance. He joined Take That and met Mark Owen, and in the band, he mainly performed lead vocals.

In his time with Take That, he was suffering from drug abuse and alcohol problems that made him act rude and altered his emotions and behaviors.

Sadly, in 1995 July, he quit the boy band. In 2010, Robbie rejoined Take That and their album Progress became the second fastest-selling album in UK history.

Going Solo

In 1996, Robbie Williams commenced a solo career with a cover of George Michael's "Freedom" that peaked at no.2 in the UK charts. With producer Guy Chambers, he started to work on his debut album in 1997, and the first single, Old Before I Die, hit no.2 on the UK charts.

In September 1997, he released Life Through a Lens, which debuted at no.11 on the UK Albums Chart. In order to support the record, he gave his first live solo performance at the Élysée Montmartre theater in Paris, France.

Throughout his career, Williams has launched numerous hit albums that gained him tremendous fame, money, and growth. Life Thru a Lens (1997), Swing When You’re Winning (2001), I’ve Been Expecting You (1998), Intensive Care (2002), Escapology (2005), and Rudebox and Reality Killed the Video Star (2006) are the albums that gave his solo career a big boost and push. 

To celebrate his 20 years as a performer and singer, in 2010 he released In and Out of Consciousness: The Greatest Hits 1990-2010. 

In July 2018, Robbie Williams, together with Ayda  Field, and Louis Tomilson were named as the new judges for the 15th season of The X Factor in the UK. Louis Walsh, Sharon Osbourne, and Nicole Scherzinger were replaced by them.

In November 2022, Williams performed in the FIFA World Cup 2022. However, he was criticized for his looks as Qatar is strictly against LGBT.
