The victims signed an open letter addressing his harassment and threats which stated that Schwanh “manipulated psychologically and emotionally” the female cast on the show and his activities made the women feel physically unsafe.
The list of women who experienced the misconduct included Hilarie Burton, Craig Sheffer, Danneel Ackles, and many more.
When the news of Mark’s harassment and misconduct came to light, he was working on another show called The Royals. A couple of days later, the companies behind The Royals released a statement stating that Mark had been suspended for an investigation.
Almost a month later, another statement was released saying that Mark will not be returning to The Royals.

After so many women came forward with the accusation, Mark declined to comment on any of them. He gave no response even after the investigation and his firing from The Royals.

Mark Schwahn’s whereabouts have been a matter of curiosity every time when one of his victims opens up about the terrible incident that they faced.
Recently, Hilarie Burton opened up about how Mark Schwahn assaulted her on several occasions and how her then-co-star Chad Michael Murray stood by her side. Hilarie talked about the incident on their podcast Drama Queens with her co-stars Sophia Bush and Bethany Joy Lenz and how Chad helped her.
She said,
“Chad walked up and goes, ‘What are you doing?’ He said that to our boss in the bar… He watched our boss grab me in front of a lot of people, and you know, Chad didn’t have anything to lose cause he knew our boss hated him anyway. A lot of people had a lot to lose, so you don’t speak up when you have a lot to lose. But (our boss) felt so comfortable that that was not something that he had a problem with. (He thought), ‘I can do whatever I want to her in public with her boyfriend standing there.’”
Hilarie mentions Mark as their ‘boss.’ Every time when she opened up about Mark’s behavior towards her or any of his female colleagues, she identified him as their boss.
While Mark’s inappropriate behavior has been haunting every other victim, he has been keeping himself away from the media.
Ever since Mark was fired from The Royals, he has not been active in the industry and neither on any social networking sites.
