Four months later, Karl proposed to her. The proposal took place in a tiny sandwich shop in New York where Deborah answered “Yes”.

However, that wasn’t the only proposal made by Karl to his lady love Deborah.

For the second time, he again proposed on a mountaintop in the afternoon while they were in Brazil. Like before, Deborah again responded with a big "Yes."

During Deborah's senior year in high school, she decided to enter the Whitfield Co. (GA) Junior Miss Pageant, just before her SAT tests.

Deborah won the title and then headed toward America’s Junior Miss representing Georgia and ended up winning the title too.

Prior to participating in pageants, Deborah wanted to study Law but as she saw technicians and other production staff of CBS working long hours and still enjoying it, Deborah dreamed up being a TV reporter.
