Matt and his wife Daphna are parents to two children, a daughter Libby Gutman and a son named Ben Gutman.
Libby is their eldest child who was born a year after her parents got married.

Daphna is an early childhood music educator and cantorial soloist.
According to her LinkedIn, she has been working at Valley Beth Shalom Synagogue as a music coordinator for ECC and young families since September 2022.
She is also a music, Judaica, and Hebrew specialist at the Valley Beth Shalom Early Childhood Center since September 2018.
Daphna was a director and teacher at Music Together from January 2011 to June 2018.
