Norah’s father, Francis Lawrence O’Donnell, was a medical doctor and US Army officer due to which he had to move to different places and used to take his family with him.
Norah’s mother, Noreen Bernadette (O’Kane), also used to accompany her husband to different countries and Norah grew up in different places and countries.
Norah has two siblings, a brother, and a sister. Norah’s brother is Francis O’Donnell and her sister is Mary O’Donnell.

Norah O’Donnell is married to her high-school boyfriend, Geoff Tracy. While at Georgetown University, Norah used to go to the cafeteria line at New South, where she met her future husband Geoff Tracy.
It was love at first sight for Geoff but the case wasn’t the same for Norah. The relationship couldn’t move further at the time.
Later, Norah became a famous journalist and Geoff became a successful chef and restaurateur. God’s plan they met again as Norah had to interview Geoff.

Norah accepted the proposal and the couple tied their wedding knot on June 9, 2001, at the Dahlgren Chapel on the Georgetown University Campus. They got married six years after graduation.

Geoff is a successful businessman and chef who attended the Culinary Institute of America after graduating from Georgetown University. He opened his own restaurant called Chef Geoff's in Washington D.C. after his graduation in 2000.
Two years later, he opened its franchise in the D.C. downtown area. He opened his third restaurant called LIA's in Maryland in 2006 and another restaurant called Hank's Tavern in 2008.
Her life partner is also an author who co-wrote the book Baby Love- Healthy, Easy, Delicious Meals for Your Baby and Toddler.
