Previously, he worked as a consultant at Accenture for three years from 2005 to 2008. He also worked at IBM for four years from 2001 to 2005.
As for his education, he attended Northwestern University from where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science; Economics Concentration in 2001.
Jones and her husband Uche met while attending Northwestern University. During that time, Uche was a high school student and Jones was a freshman at the school.
Back in 2016, Jones revealed how she met her husband on Today. She said,
"I was actually his tour guide, I'm ashamed. I remember that it was a visitation day at Northwestern, and his dad was driving around and they were lost."
Since Uche and his dad were lost and asked her for her directions to a specific dorm, she helped them by giving a tour around the school.
Sheinelle and Uche instantly hit it off and eventually began dating. They got married in an intimate wedding ceremony on September 1, 2007.

Family Life And Children
Sheinelle Jones and her husband Uche have been married for 14 years and in between these years, they became parents to three children.
Shortly after the wedding, Jones got pregnant but she had a miscarriage. She opened up about her miscarriage while talking about infertility on Today in December 2021.
She said,
“I’ve never talked about this, but I had a miscarriage once, before my first son. I was an anchor in Philadelphia and I was pretty stressed out at the time. I remember finding out that something was wrong; the doctor told me the baby’s heartbeat was weak. In response, I did what a lot of women do: I just kept moving forward.”
She continued,
“I was at a journalism conference and I was going from table to table, meeting people in the news business, networking in my blazer and heels and feeling so sick. I miscarried while I was there.”
She then again got pregnant and gave birth to their first child, their son Kayin in 2009. Jones and her husband are also parents to twins Uche and Clara Josephine. Uche and Clara, who are currently 9 years old, are in 4th grade.
