Doug has been working as a producer at ABC News since June 2000.
He has worked as a field producer and booking producer for ABC News, Good Morning America, Nightline, 20/20, and World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer.
Doug is also the founder and festival director of Rincon International Film Festival. He is the owner of Blake House Media, Inc. since 1996.
Doug started his professional career by working as an office manager at Miramax.
It’s not clear how long Sam and Doug have been together but according to Sam’s Instagram posts, they have been married since 2022.
They tied the knot in a Vegas drive-thru wedding at Little White Wedding Chapel. Sam later shared a wedding photo dump featuring all of their friends and family who celebrated their big day with them.

He said,
"I left home and came out and lost my family to their prejudices. I’ve built a new family, and I have other people who filled those roles in a better way than my blood or relation ever has."
Sam seems to have brothers, as per the picture shared by Sam on Father’s Day in 2022. He shared an old group picture with his dad and siblings writing,
“Happy Father’s Day, Dad! It’s been 18 years…. Crazy. I miss you.”
