Adam, who came out publicly in August 2014, has always been open about his relationship with his partner Karl.
He met Karl in an organic way, i.e. meeting him in real life and falling in love with him. He has revealed that his relationship with Karl began in a traditional way.
Since Adam likes the organic way of dating, he has never used an online dating app in his life. He met Karl at a bar. One evening, Adam was not going out but his friends forced him to. They later went to El Vez and had drinks at the bar where they met his colleague Sarah Bloomquist with her friends.

He invited one of his close family members to stay at their home, who wasn’t vaccinated. He asked the guest to get a COVID test before coming to their place. The result was negative but the guest became ill 48hrs later and tested positive for the virus.
Soon after that, their son Jaco had a fever and chills and Hannah also had a cough. They eventually tested positive for the virus. The virus was spread to a babysitter and his family.
Their son Jacob was born in the year 2014 while their daughter Hannah was born two years later, i.e., in 2016.
