Meg Oliver’s husband is John Basinger, an attorney by profession. He provides services in the areas like litigation and intellectual property.
John is currently active as a partner at Saul Ewing LLP. According to John Basinger’s LinkedIn, he has been working as a lawyer for Saul since July 2015.
Throughout his career, he has guided clients from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, China, Japan, Germany, Italy, Brazil, and many more.
Previously, he was an Associate, Litigation and Dispute Resolution at Baker & McKenzie from May 2006 to January 2010. He then worked as a partner for the company from January 2010 to January 2015.
John started his career in the legal industry after graduating from Harvard Law School in 1996. He previously attended the University of Oklahoma and earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1992.

Reports suggest that Meg and John met through mutual friends. However, it did not take it long for them to fall in love.
Meg and John dated for some time before they decided to get married. The couple shared the wedding vows on 18th October 2002 and will be celebrating their 23 years of married life in 2025.
On their 22nd anniversary in 2024, Meg took to Instagram to wish her husband, saying, “Cheers to 22 years, 3 kids, 4 states, and 3 dogs.” She even added that 5 bar exams are apparently a big deal.
