She was doing amazing in her rookie year and later on, she emerged out to be the eleventh player to win an Olympic Gold Medal along with an NCAA Championship and WNBA Championship after leading her team to victory in 2004.
Later on, in 2006-7, Bird also played basketball for the Russian team in Russia where she help the team win the Russian Super League.
Besides this, she has been a member of the Russian team helping them win 3 titles. Not only that but in 2002, she competed in the world championship held in China.
