Who Are Jen Hatmaker’s Children?
Jen has three biological kids named Gavin, Sydney, and Caleb, whom she welcomed with her ex-husband, Brandon.
Gavin, the eldest of Jen’s five kids, was born on April 9, 1998. Shortly after, Jen was pregnant with her second child and gave birth to her daughter, Sydney Beth, in May 2000.
Two years later, in June 2002, Jen and her then-husband, Brandon, welcomed their third baby, Caleb.
Jen and her ex-husband, Brandon, eventually adopted two children, Ben (around age eight) and Remy (around age five), from Ethiopia in the early 2010s.
Adopting Ben and Remy was just expanding a family for Jen initially. But now, the journey of adoption has reshaped how she views the world.
Jen believed that racism was largely behind her before she went for adoption, but later, it was a crash course in lingering racism for her.

Caleb is already an uncle now as Gavin and Danielle welcomed their first child, a son named Weston Joseph Hatmaker, on August 29th, 2025.
Baby Gavin is often seen on his grandmother’s social media posts. He has become the cherished little darling of the Hatmaker family ever since his arrival.
Danielle was an athlete at the University of the Incarnate Word, according to her Instagram post of April 2019.
Similarly, her husband, Gavin, was a Red Raider at Texas Tech University, where he majored in Natural Resource Management with a specialty in Wildlife Management.
Gavin worked as a TA for his professors for two years and then landed his first dream job as the new foreman at Silverhorn Ranch in Freer, Texas, in 2020.
Similarly, her youngest child has earned her diploma.
Jen has walked her five kids into the kindergarten and has filmed them walking across the high school graduation stage. The proud mom, Jen, has often talked about their progress in her interviews, her podcast, and also on her social media posts.

Recently, on Sydney’s 26th birthday, Jen hosted a dinner party and sleepover for her besties. She later shared glimpses of the special celebration on Instagram.
In her heartfelt caption, Jen revealed that she gave a small speech for her daughter during the dinner, which moved everyone to tears. She wrote, “I am so proud of her, and I love her, and I like her. She is going to wow us. She already is. What a lucky world. Lucky me.”
As for Caleb, he is in the military. Caleb has watched every military movie that exists because of his love for the Armed Forces. He has now chosen a career as a Marine.

Jen was married to Brandon Hatmaker for 26 years before they decided to part their ways. Jen took to Instagram to reveal her divorce, describing it as completely unexpected.

Do you know that Jen is currently in a relationship? Well, she has been relishing a romantic relationship with Tyler Merritt.
Jen and her partner, Tyler, met in New York City in November 2021 and have been inseparable since then.

Where Is Brandon Hatmaker Now?
Brandon Hatmaker is now living a pretty private life with his new wife, Tina Hatmaker.
After Jen released her memoir Awake, Brandon made a rare comment about his marriage, saying that Tina wasn’t the one for whom he had divorced Jen.
He wrote via Substack saying that he met Tina after the divorce was filed. It was when Jen told him that “there was no path back to reconnection.”
He continued,
“For those who read or believe the narrative that I remarried too quickly… The fact is that Tina and I got engaged two years later in July of 2022 and married the following December. And I’ll say it again: Tina may have saved my life. Not figuratively, but literally.”
Brandon also shared a Facebook Post saying “Moving Forward,” where he said that he won’t be addressing the details of his previous marriage and divorce from that point forward.
Brandon is not active on his Facebook page after that post. However, he was seen sharing a picture with his wife, Tina, from their Mexico visit on his Instagram in May 2026.
