John Rhys-Davies is a Welsh actor best known for his roles in blockbusters such as The Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Indiana Jones franchise. Growing up in Wales, John attended the University of East Anglia before embarking on a successful acting career.

Davies has appeared in numerous television series, stage productions, and films over the year and has earned three Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations in which he registered one win and a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.

After graduating from the Uni, John started teaching at Watton County Secondary School in Norfolk.

John Rhys-Davies Married Life And Wife

The Lord of the Rings star, John Rhys-Davies was previously married to his late wife Suzanne A.D. Wilkinson.

Suzanne was known for being John Rhys-Davies’ partner until her demise. She used to work as a translator.

The couple got married in December 1966 and shared a marital relationship for nearly twenty years.

Though John and Suzanne got legally separated (formally separated but still legally married) in 1985, Suzanne was John’s wife till her death.

There’s no information about why the couple took the decision to stay legally separated but they surely loved each other a lot even after everything.

Suzanne was suffering from a neurodegenerative disease called Alzheimer’s disease which took her life in 2010.

Even after being legally separated, Rhys and Suzanne were very close friends and never took a divorce.

They together have a daughter, Maia Davies.

John was technically married to his wife Suzanne while he was dating the journalist.

John in an interview admitted that he was not always kind to Suzanne and that he regretted his past behavior. He said that he was never there for her and she deserved far better than him.

John and Lisa have been together for 19 years now but there’s no information about them getting engaged or married.
