Maia has said that if she wins the show, she would like to use the prize money as a deposit for a house. She wants to live in the countryside and eventually wants to go on a nice little holiday.

Maia was pregnant with Ava during her graduation. Later, in July 2023, she shared some pictures from her graduation saying that being pregnant at the time of graduation was one of the most hardest days of her life as she was out of breath, really hungry and her emotions were everywhere.

Maia is the only child in the Gouveia family to have welcomed kids. She is the youngest of three children of her parents, Mr. Gouveia and Mrs. Gouveia.
