Marcus Richardson’s Married Life With Abby Phillip
It was in 2011 when Marcus met his future wife Abby Phillip at a mutual friend’s party in Washington. It was a rooftop party where a stranger nearly ruined Marcus and Abby’s first encounter.
The duo did not know many other people at the party so they were catching up with some conversation but a random guest from the party created some confusion. When another woman interrupted their conversation, Marcus thought that she was Abby’s friend who was saving her from him.
The duo went separate ways after the party but they reconciled again at another party a month later. They had a smooth conversation and ended up dating after meeting at the second party.
Almost 5 years after dating, Marcus decided to propose to his then-girlfriend so he asked her for marriage during the Christmas holiday in 2016. The lovebirds got engaged when their families were visiting them in Washington, DC.
Two years later, on May 26, 2018, Marcus and Abby tied the wedding knot in the presence of 90 close friends and family. They held their big day at the historic Anderson House museum in Washington which was officiated by Gene Corbin, the assistant dean of Harvard’s College for Public Service.
