Beyond his professional success as a political commentator and author. Fareed is a father of three children, two daughters and a son.

Back in May 2022, Fareed shared a picture of his recently graduated son Omar with his ex-wife, Paula, stating it was a great day for them.

Fareed Zakaria's Daughter, Lila Zakaria
Lila Zakaria is the eldest of two daughters of Fareed and his ex-wife, Paula Throckmorton.
She is currently attending Wellesley College for her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience.
According to Lila’s LinkedIn, she is currently working as an intern at Novartis Pharma AG in their Neuroscience Data Science department.
She has said that she wants to focus her career on Women’s Health and advocacy in India after her graduation.
Lila previously attended The Lawrenceville School. During that time, she worked as a Camp Counselor at St. Hilda’s & St. Hugh’s School.
Lila did her summer internship at Endeavor from June 2019 to August 2019 and at HEAF, Inc. from June 2020 to August 2020.
She was also a Barista at ALL THAT JAVA for around three months from June 2021 to August 2021.
Lila was an intern at Ivorypress in 2022 and the Student Coordinator and Summer Intern at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc.
Lila graduated from The Lawrenceville School in 2021, which was also shared by Fareed on Instagram.

Fareed Zakaria's Daughter, Sofia Zakaria
Sofia is the youngest of three kids of Fareed and his ex-wife Paula. She is often seen on her dad’s social media handles.
She was seen with her dad, Fareed, and sister, Lila, on a family vacation in Singapore in 2023.
Sofia is also a great cook like her brother Omar. Proud dad Fareed shared a picture of a summer delight made by her. It was grilled peaches with a bit of cardamom and ginger, a scoop of coconut yogurt, and a slice of banana bread.
Sofia even made Apple Cobbler, which was shared by Fareed on his Instagram back in May 2020.

Fareed and his ex-wife Paula were married for more than two decades from 1997 to 2018.
In between these years, they welcomed their three children- Omar, Lila, and Sofia.
Fareed Zakaria’s ex-wife, Paula Throckmorton, is a writer and meditation teacher who previously had her own jewelry business.
Paula, who started meditating when she was 19 years old, has shared her practice with many individuals and groups.
She is now an author known for her book Too Busy for Enlightenment, which she wrote because she spent her 20s and 30s looking for it.
According to her, she went to college, got a job, and created a life where she was too busy for enlightenment.
Although Fareed and Paula have parted ways, they have come together for family gatherings with their kids.
