After proving himself as an excellent spell for the Georgia Bulldogs, winning Lott Trophy, and Lombardi Award, being selected for first-team All-American for three consecutive years, and receiving SEC Defensive Player of the Year Awards in 2002 and 2004, Pollack was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft.
