The couple had a wedding that happened in a hospital ER on August 10, 2013. Pinnock’s mom, Joan, had a stroke the night before their wedding, so the hospital allowed them to hold a small ceremony with just 8-10 people.

After a non-traditional wedding, Pinnock and Wallace headed to Christ Church in Montclair for the rest of the ceremony. They had over 300 guests at their wedding who came from Jamaica, England, and Ireland.

8 years after the wedding, Pinnock shared her hospital wedding video on her Instagram, opening up about how her wedding went. The video was taken by her uncle Carlton, who had been taking videos of every major event since her birth.

Similarly, on her 10th wedding anniversary in 2023, Pinnock revealed that her father-in-law had passed away a few months before their wedding.

They even renewed their vows on their 10th anniversary, and her mom walked her down the aisle.

Pinnock also recalled her hospital wedding with PEOPLE, saying that her mother was alert and present. Her ER wedding was something that even Shonda Rhimes couldn’t write; it was giving a full series finale, Grey’s Anatomy.

After the couple headed to the church to exchange their vows again with 350 guests, everyone celebrated at The Castle at Skylands Manor in honor of her mother.

Pinnock says that she doesn’t think one person at the wedding, but they were just dancing and drinking, celebrating that her mom was alive.
