Ime Udoka (full name Ime Sunday Udoka) is an American-Nigerian professional basketball coach and also a former player who represented the national team of Nigeria back in his time.
He served as the head coach for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Recently, Houston Rockets announced that Ime Udoka is the new head coach, which makes him the 15th head coach in franchise history.

Ime Udoka was born on August 9, 1977, in Portland, Oregon, US.
His father is Vitalis Udoka who was of Nigerian descent and died on 17th October 2006, whereas his mother’s name is still unknown.
As per some sources, his mother was from Illinois, US. Udoka’s mother died in late 2011.
Ime Udoka also has a sister Mfon Udoka, who played for the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).

After his elementary studies, Ime Udoka joined Jefferson High School in Portland. After high school graduation, he enrolled at the University of San Francisco and played for the basketball team there.

Ime Udoka began dating the American actress Nia Talita Long in February 2010. Back then Ime was an NBA player who was playing for Sacramento Kings, while Nia Long was there for a shoot in Boston.
